First, you'll need to create an account to participate. You can register with your email and a password, or sign in quickly using your Google account. Your display name will be used on the leaderboard, so choose something your friends will recognize!
All wagers are placed within a group. You can either create a new group and invite your friends, or join an existing one using a 6-digit group code.
Once you're in a group, it's time to place your wagers on the main "Home" page. Here are the rules:
How Winnings are Calculated: Payouts are based on the listed odds. The formula is `Wager Amount * Odds = Total Winnings`. For example, a 10 buck wager on a nominee with 5.50 odds will pay out 55 Oscar Bucks.
Your wagers are not final until you click the "Submit Wagers" button. You can change your wagers as many times as you like before the submission deadline. Each time you click "Submit Wagers," your previous submission for that group is completely overwritten.
If you are in multiple groups, you can easily copy your wagers from one group to another. On the homepage, a "Copy Wagers From Another Group" button will appear. Clicking this will open a dialog where you can select which group to copy from and which to copy to.
On the day of the Oscars, you can follow the action on the "Leaderboard" page. As winners are announced, your total winnings will update in real-time, and you can see how you stack up against the other members of your group. Good luck!
